I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Gym Instructor currently studying Level 4 Nutrition for Weight Management and Athletic Performance. I’ve just completed a Level 2 qualification in Training Older Adults.

I have my own very well equipped studio gym. I offer a free consultation and taster session-try before you buy! I have my own accurate body composition machine to track your body fat and muscle mass, amongst other parameters.
I'm a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity-this organisation checks qualifications and requires 10 CPD points annually to retain membership.
I offer personal training programmes for older people, younger people, beginners, advanced-in fact all fitness levels and lifestyles. I have a proven track record at delivering consistent, great results.
I have a special interest in strength training. This is vital to everyone as muscle mass, tone and strength really start to decline after age 30 if we don’t take action.
Those with learning or physical disabilities are very welcome. I have experience working with clients with scoliosis and also those with conditions causing muscle weakness (e.g. Prader-Willi Syndrome).
I have a current First Aid Qualification, a clear DBS check and am fully insured.
My prices are available on my website, but are in the range £25-£40 per session. Customer testimonials are also available on my website.

I moved to Upton from South Oxfordshire in 2022 with my wife Fran. I have 4 grown up children.

Mark has been fantastic! Learnt lots of stuff that’s made me a lot more confident in the gym and shown me where I was going wrong. He will focus on targets that are important to you and keep you on track. I’ve just completed 8 weeks and signed up for another 8 weeks!

I started training with Mark 7 months ago - as a 30y/o with no previous gym experience. I’d had some issues with my back and I wanted to see what regular weight training could do to fix it. Mark eased me into the weight training, focusing on good technique and confidence in what I was doing so that I could safely train in the gym on my own. I was initially a little intimidated by the gym but I found the sessions with Mark really helped me feel like I knew what I was doing there. My goals have changed over the 7 months, going from remedying my back issue to now developing strength and working on a good physique and feeling happier with my appearance. Through Mark’s guidance and expertise, I’m getting stronger and lifting heavier, and I’ve dropped 5-6% body fat to under 15%. I feel confident at the gym and I genuinely love going!! I look forward to the days I have PT sessions with Mark and the days I go to the gym. Mark is very personable and chatty in the sessions, and encouraging too - I really enjoy training with him! He sends me session notes every week so that I know what to do in the gym, and often checks in to see how I’m getting on. My sessions with Mark have really transformed me - I have so much more energy in my daily life, I’m more focused on my goals and I’m now in the best shape I’ve ever been. I’d highly recommend Mark - he’ll help you hit your goals and you’ll enjoy your fitness journey!

I have been training with mark for 9 weeks now. He is very knowledgable, patient and wise. Our session are fun and i have learnt so much by training with mark, as a 57 year old women with a dodgy back he is teaching me exercises that are really helping me. Mark works out a plan and is monitering you all the time in a very safe enviroment. He explains every exercise, which muscles it works why you need to do it. Marks plays good music, we have a laugh and i really look forward to my training. I have been to many gyms over the years but never learnt the training i am having with mark. In fact he is so good i am booking another 12 week training course. If you want to learn to get fitter, stronger and how your body works for in a fun safe place with a great personal trainer give mark a call. I promise you wont regret it.

I approached Mark to enquire about PT sessions for my brother, who has a number of physical health conditions and a learning disability. From the start, Mark has been thoughtful, thorough, and adaptable to my brother’s needs. We had an initial meeting with Mark, which (as a family member) put my mind at total ease. Since then, Mark and my brother have met twice weekly, and whilst it is still early days, my brother is making noticeable progress and (just as importantly) the support is having a positive effect on his mood and self-esteem. He speaks so highly of Mark. I am excited to see my brother continue to improve his health and wellbeing, and am grateful to Mark for his role in this. I would recommend Mark to anyone looking for a PT, regardless of need/ability.
